Born at a very young age, David started to become a proficient toe tapper right out of the womb. Somewhere in between pointless philosophical questions and dancing incessantly, David received his first drum set; bought used at the local Goodwill, at the ripe ol' age of whenever it was. After fleeing the nest of Santa Cruz, David realized the harsh realities of the entertainment world as an unemployed dancer in LA. But due to his complete lack of dance work, his musicianship thrived. After dappling in guitar, piano, and a brief ill-advised stint in violin, David finally returns to his home on the drums, "Forget the notes and the chords", someone unknown says, "let me hit something...hard"
Immediately drawn to loud obnoxious noises and strategic banging, David crafted a style unto itself. In a mixed drink of drumming you can create a complete ear quenching elixir mixed with Hip Hop Hennesey, a Jazzy dry martini, and a grunge rock wild turkey cocktail. If you're ballzy enough and crazy for this combination, than order the "Borty" at your local dive bar. This musical drink goes down smooth, and comes up choppy (just like Davids drumming).
Some of David's influences include: Questlove (The Roots), Aaron Commess, Shaker Leg (NY Subways), and the godfather of noise, Rahzel.
